Welcome to NorthWest Ontario Counselling & Consulting
To our valued clients: Just a friendly reminder—our appointments are scheduled in Central Standard Time (CST), which is one hour behind Eastern Standard Time (EST). If you’d prefer to view times in a different time zone, simply click the blue “Change your Time Zone” button.
New Clients: If this is your first time booking with us, please schedule under the FREE CONSULTATIONS section on your chosen therapist’s booking page. Not sure who might be the best fit for you? We recommend starting with a free 15-minute consultation—available in person, by phone, or via video—with one or more therapists. You’re also welcome to reach out to the admin@nwocc.ca for guidance.
If you don’t see a CLIENT CONSULTATION option listed for a therapist, it may mean their schedule is currently full. However, if there’s someone you’re particularly interested in working with, don’t hesitate to reach out—we may be able to find a creative way to fit you in. You can also join their WAITLIST, and either they or the admin will be in touch as soon as possible.
Current Clients: If you’ve already had a session with one of our therapists, please book future appointments under the RETURNING CLIENTS section.

Hi! I’m Taylor, and I’m so excited to be joining NWOCC. I am currently a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology student and will be completing my practicum here. I am so grateful to work with and learn from this team and clients alike.
Life is busy, and when it becomes overwhelming, it can be challenging to prioritize yourself. Balancing multiple responsibilities, caring for others, or managing the constant pressures to keep up can come at the expense of your own wellbeing. Stress, burnout and self-doubt can become burdensome, leaving little time or space for rest and reflection.
Together, we can create meaningful shifts, helping you to reconnect with your sense of balance, confidence, and self-compassion. Throughout our journey, we will acknowledge daily stressors, identify priorities, and establish clear boundaries. Drawing from person-centered, cognitive-behavioural, solution-focused, and strengths-based approaches, we will identify practical tools for coping, support healthy relationships, and nurture your emotional wellbeing.
I provide a warm, collaborative, non-judgemental space where you can safely explore your experiences and needs. If you’re new to therapy, I welcome you. I understand that seeking support for the first time can be intimidating, but I hope that our first interaction can ease any apprehension you may have. I look forward to connecting with you!

Consider me an extension of your mind! In other words, I will meet you where you’re at. Whether you want to vent, have a high-level conversation that veers into philosophy, or have a more traditional psychotherapeutic style of session, I pride myself in tailoring each conversation to the person I am speaking with. At the end of every session, my utmost priority is that you felt seen, heard, and come out of it with a different perspective.
Clients should expect a very open and non-judgmental atmosphere. That said, therapy can be nerve-racking and even awkward at first! This is totally normal. Once we get past the initial minutes of introducing ourselves and the general conversation, you can expect the comfort level to be similar to having a conversation with a trusted friend.

I’ve been working in children’s mental health since 2014 and feel grateful to support kids, teens, and families every day. Over time, my approach has become more intentional, flexible, and responsive to each child and family’s unique needs.
I work from a trauma-informed, attachment-based, and neurodiversity-affirming lens. I draw from a “theory shelf” of evidence-based approaches, adjusting to where a child or family is developmentally, emotionally, and neurologically. There’s no one-size-fits-all in therapy, I’m always assessing and adapting to make sure our work fits your child and family.
With younger children, I use Child-Centered Play Therapy and Cognitive-Behavioral Play Therapy to help kids express themselves, process feelings, and strengthen relationships at home. With teens, I use Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Sand Tray Therapy, expressive arts, and talk therapy to support healing, confidence, and emotional resilience. With families, I integrate Emotion-Focused Family Therapy and attachment-based approaches to foster connection, communication, and co-regulation.
I design my therapy space with purpose. Every element - from toys and sensory tools to coping supports and creative materials, is thoughtfully chosen to meet the unique needs of children, teens, and families. The environment is calm, predictable, and structured to support regulation, engagement, and emotional safety, so clients feel ready to do the hard work of growth.
Supporting parents and caregivers is central to my work. Therapy works best when families can bring what they learn into daily life, and I collaborate with you to build skills, understanding, and connection.
I’m committed to ongoing learning and reflection, always seeking ways to better support the families I work with. My goal is for every child, teen, and caregiver to feel understood, supported, and empowered.

I believe in working in partnership with clients to utilize their strengths to help them sort out their challenges and achieve their goals.

I love working with individuals, couples, families, and parents and believe that everyone should have a safe and healing place to work through the difficulties of life.

I’ve been in the field for over 17 years. I worked in the non-profit children’s mental health sector for many years first as a Home-based Family Support Worker and then as an Intake Clinician and Brief Therapist. After several years I branched out and started to provide individual therapy as well and as of a few years ago I moved solely into working in private practice supporting children, youth, parents, families and adult individuals.
My approach is laid back (not too business like), client centered, solution focused, and directive when needed. I like to relate to my clients on a person-to-person level, not expert to client. I believe you know yourself best and you have many of the answers already that you are seeking. I am here to help draw them out of you. And when you can’t quite find the answer I have tons of ideas and suggestions if you want them!
My areas of interest include ADHD, ASD, Anxiety, Depression, Children’s Mental Health, Trauma, and I often use Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and Brainspotting to support my clients’ needs.
